Renewal of Industrial Design in Slovak Republic

We take care of the renewal of your registered industrial Design in Slovak Republic. We monitor the duration of protection, we file the renewal request, pay the renewal fees and keep you updated about the upcoming renewal period of protection.

Upon registration of a Design in the Slovak Republic it shall be protected by a registered industrial Design for a period of five years from the date of filing the application (or the claimed prior application date). The right holder may have renewed the term of protection for one or more periods of five years each, up to a total term of 25 years from the date of filing.

The renewal of a registered Design in Slovak Republic shall be done by a request, provided that the renewal fee will be paid too. The request for renewal shall be submitted within the last months of the current protection period and the renewal fee shall be paid within the same period. Renewal shall have effect from the expiry of the registration.

A late renewal still may be done inthe Slovak Republic during the six months following the expiry date of the design registration, subject to simultaneous payment of an additional late renewal fee. Administrative body will double the renewal fee. If this last possibility for a late renewal was failed the industrial Design will become free to use.

If the Design is registered after its expiration, renewal fee is payable within two month as from issue of certificate, without request of registered Design owner, based on written notice.

Our offer relates to the renewal of a single Design registration and includes the general maintenance fee but not the additional fee for late renewal payment in case of failing the general time for renewal.

Accepting the contract is subject to the circumstance that you will hire us early enough so that the request and the payment of the official fees can be arranged in time.
