Here you can mandate us to renew your registered design patent in Thailand for the next protection period. We will file the request for the renewal of another year. We will pay the annual renewal fee, monitor the duration of protection and keep you informed about the upcoming renewal deadlines.
Design patent protection in Thailand is limited to a term of protection of 10 years.
The protection in Thailand starts with a 5-year protection term, beginning with the date of filing of application (or the claimed prior application date). From that date calculated and after the expiry of the first 4 years of the first protection period of 5 years, a renewal must be done. It has to done between the first 60 days from the beginning of the 5th year protection. If the design patent is not renewed your design may become free to be used by others.
You may order only the renewal of one design patent in Thailand here. If you want to have renewed another design patent, a further order is required. You also need to pay separately for a further design.
The renewal of a design patent shall be done in Thailand by a request, provided that the renewal fee will be paid too. Both has to be done within the protection period.
In case the renewal request or the payment for renewal has been delayed a renewal is still possible after the general renewal term of 60 days, if from the due date a renewal request is filed and if the renewal fees and a fine for late renewal is paid within the late renewal term.
The fine is 30 % of the normal renewal fee.
The late renewal term is 120 days after the expiry day of the general 60 day renewal limit.
Our offer relates to single design patent and includes the general maintenance fee for the next period of protection but not the additional fee for late renewal or late renewal payment in case of failing the general renewal period. The offer does not include a request for restoration if general and late renewal time limit were failed.
Alternatively you order the renewal for the whole period of protection, paying the renewal fees for the remaining period of protection in advanced in total.
