If the renewal application is submitted on time, the payment of the renewal fee can still be made within a grace period of up to 6 months after the protection period ends. However, an additional surcharge fee for late payment will apply. If the grace period is not adhered to, the design protection will end in Bahrain, and renewal will no longer be possible.
