Maximum term of design patent protection in Vietnam is 15 years.
Design protection in Vietnam starts with a 5-year protection term, beginning with the date of filing of the application. From that date calculated and before the expiry of the first period of protection of 5 years, a renewal must be done. Otherwise the exclusive design patent protection will end. Your design may become free to be used by others.
The renewal of an industrial design patent shall be done by a request, provided that the renewal fee will be paid too. It has to be done within the protection period.
Our offer relates to a single design patent and includes the general maintenance fee for the next period of protection but not the additional fee for late renewal, request or late renewal payment in case of failing the general renewal period. The offer does not include a request for restoration if general and late renewal time limit were failed.
Accepting the contract is subject to the circumstance that you will hire us early enough so that the request and the payment of the official fees can be arranged in time.
