The application can be made at any time for one or more protection periods as long as the conditions are met. The payment of the renewal fees must also be made within the relevant protection period to ensure the continued protection of the design.
4. Surcharge Fees for Late Payment
If the renewal application and the payment of the renewal fee are not made on time, an additional surcharge fee will apply. This fee is added to the regular official fees if the renewal is requested after the protection period has expired. We ensure that all payments are submitted on time to avoid additional costs.
