The maximum term of design protection is 15 years. A renewal is not possible.

Upon registration of a design it shall be protected by a registered industrial design for a period of 15 years from the starting of the protection period (date of filing the application or the claimed prior application date). The right holder may have renewed the term of protection for one or more periods of five years each, up to the maximum term of protection.
