Renewal of Design Protection in Croatia – Detailed Information

We handle the renewal of your registered design in Croatia, allowing for an extension of the protection period for up to 25 years. Maximum Protection Duration and Renewal Options

A registered design in Croatia is initially protected for 5 years. This protection period can be renewed up to four times for an additional 5 years each, bringing the total protection duration to a maximum of 25 years.

Renewal Process

Renewal is carried out by submitting a formal application to the Croatian Patent Office and paying the renewal fees on time. The application can be submitted no earlier than 6 months before the current protection period expires. Renewal after the expiration date is possible within 6 months, but only with the payment of an additional fee.

Additional Costs and Exclusions
